Hi, I’m Kirsten Nicolaisen, a New York-based audience development strategist with a decade of experience in social media management and content creation.
I specialize in helping my clients create engaging, vibrant social media presences — from developing extensive campaigns to delivering compelling creative.
Before starting my consulting business, I worked for a variety of news publications and startups. At State Affairs, a fast-growing political news organization, I steered dynamic strategies as the head of social. During my tenure at CNET, I led a team of talented content creators, shaping strategy and contributing to award-winning social video initiatives. My experience also includes running social at the New York Post, managing digital and social operations at ABC affiliates in Washington, D.C. and Portland, Oregon, and working as a reporter for both a local news startup and a public radio station.
I currently collaborate with a range of agencies and individuals to create impactful content and provide strategic guidance on their social media initiatives.
Ready to collaborate? Send me an email at knicolaisenmedia@gmail.com
100% the best social media person I’ve ever worked with.
Ryan Martin | Former Sr. Reporter at State Affairs
Kirsten thrived in her role and was a huge driver of CNET's social expansion, visual revamp and rethink in approach to Instagram and TikTok in particular. The ability to create, provide feedback, develop others, manage platform strategy, work across teams and still find time to breathe is rare, but Kirsten has it and then some.
